Guidelines for the Abstract

The abstract should have a uniform style as follows:

Title
​​Name(s) of the author(s)
​​Affiliation(s)
​​Email address of the corresponding author
Text (should consist of brief Introduction, Objective, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations without headings).
Page: A4
Word Count: Abstract should be one paragraph with a maximum of 300 words
Keywords: Up to 5 words
Font: English – Georgia, Sinhala – FM Abhaya, Tamil – Bamini

Title: Bold, Center aligned, Font Size 14, Capitalize Each Word.

Name/s of Author/s: Bold, Center Aligned, font size 12, Name/s With Initials (e.g. D. S. S. Dissanayake)

Affiliation/s: Center aligned, Font Size 10

E-mail address of the corresponding author: Center Aligned, in Italics, Font Size: 9

Text: Word Limit 300, Font Size: 10, Text Justified, Line Sape: 1.0 pt.

Keywords: 3 – 5 keywords, Italics, Font Size: 10

Electronic Format: Abstracts must be submitted only in word.doc/ word.docx formats.

Abstracts must strictly adhere to the provided guidelines and be formatted according to the templates below.

Presentation Guidelines

Common guidelines for presenters

You may present your findings in the main language used in your abstract. You will be allocated 10 minutes for your presentation, during which you should cover the following sections: Introduction, Objectives, Research Problem, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Recommendations and References.

At the end of your presentation, time will be allocated for discussion. The session chair will determine when this discussion takes place, either immediately after your presentation or at the end of the session.

Please adhere strictly to the time limit. Our convener will notify you at the 8-minute mark, and you must conclude your presentation by 10 minutes.

For Physical Participants:

We have provided a link to a Google Drive folder below. Please upload your PowerPoint presentation to this folder on or before the deadline.

• Rename your PowerPoint file using your Abstract ID.

For Online Participants:

Please convert your PowerPoint presentation into a video format and upload it to the same Google Drive folder.
